About the job

Ayming, the global leader in government funding, is searching for an Energy Modeler to join our Delivery team. In this role, you will collaborate with Ayming’s Professional Engineers and 179D department.

Your key responsibilities will be the following:

  • Conduct building operation energy performance simulations
  • Draft requests for information of data or documentation needed to complete an energy evaluation of the building
  • Review documentation provided by our clients and provide feedback to the rest of the Delivery team on requirements for completion of client energy studies
  • Analyze and transform drawings, specifications, field-notes and photographs into 3-D models of existing buildings
  • Review construction drawings, specifications, field-notes and photographs to identify, characterize, and properly apply building subsystem components as software program inputs
  • Actively participate in daily project discussions and meetings to review project content and deadlines
  • Develop and improve current business practices and software by providing expert opinion with cross-functional teams
  • Actively cooperate and support the development of new techniques and processes to improve current business practices
  • Promote energy efficient building practices and support companies working toward more sustainable communities
  • Provide periodic assistance to colleagues in non-technical aspects of the project life cycle

What would be the skills, qualifications and interests of a successful candidate?

  • Preferred 1-2 years of experience in a professional, fast-paced environment within the AEC industry
  • BA or BS degree required
  • Proficiency with CAD software
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent problem-solving, research and analytical skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to effectively multi-task
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment
