Your key responsibilities will be the following:
Grants funding applications:
- Researching, preparing, and drafting technical applications, business plans, project timelines, and feasibility assessments
- Sourcing and analyze information using a variety of platforms including but not limited to online sources, market reports and client provided information
- Performing technical research to support projects
- Drafting through leadership content
- Strong communications written and verbal to gain the information required to submit applications
Client management:
- Leading client meetings to understand their specific funding needs
- Working cross-functionally with Sales to conduct analysis on the clients’ proposed project and investment
- Preparing presentations and executive summaries resulting from kickoff meetings
- Tracking the progression of client projects and ensuring compliance reporting is completed in a timely manner
What would be the skills, qualifications and interests of a successful candidate?
- Agronomy or Agri-Science degree
- Prior experience in farming or ranching is an asset
- Prior experience in agronomy
- Prior experience in animal wellness
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- Results driven individual who is confident present to C-level executives
- Must possess valid driver’s license
- Must be open to overnight travel
- A passion for technical writing
- An interest towards the understanding of science, technology, and manufacturing processes
- Ability to create, edit and organize technical documentation
- Strong analytical skills and ability to grasp new concepts
- Strong attention to detail
- Skilled in time management
- Experience interacting with government funding agencies or relevant experience
- Experience and understanding of sustainability and emissions reduction funding opportunities offered through the USDA
- Experience working with or preparing applications for the USDA
- Experience interacting with government funding agencies or relevant experience
